i feel so unbelievably blessed lately. i'm the luckiest girl in the whole world. 

thank you to my wonderful mother,
for the surprise check in the mail that i desperately needed

thank you to christina, scott, sean, bryson, nicole, eric and everyone else i worked with this week,
for helping me when things got stressful, and for answering my stupid questions (without making me feel stupid)

for ensuring i don't fail social stats by holding my hand through every homework assignment

for being my best friend and surprising me with "i love you" texts that make my whole day

thank you to kelsey and betsy's home teachers,
for making us homemade chicken alfredo for lunch today

for wiping my tears (and not making fun of me) as i cried about missing my grandpa

for letting me make-up two vocab tests that i missed when i skipped class

for giving the students of byu-idaho a fall this year, i'm seriously loving it

i can confidently say that i am happy. and i really truly love that. i have incredible friends, cute roommates, a great guy, an amazing family, a fun job and i am so very blessed. i work a lot. but i'm not even mad about it because i don't dread going to work!

last night a bunch of guys from corporate came to eat and some of the head honchos supervised and checked on things to make sure we were doing it all right. one of them grabbed me in the kitchen and told me he had a couple of guys that wanted to meet me. i met chris and tim who told me they just so happened to have eaten lunch with my mom last week! i miss that woman.

okay, on to tumblr thursday. there's not too many this week, but they're good ones. so love me through it.

one night in orem

well. i'm in utah. it just kind of...happened. i drove down yesterday and i'm leaving in about an hour. shortest weekend of my life? yesssssssss. but i'm staying with my cassie and i just love her. when i got here she fed me crackers and a granola bar because i was starved. then we sat and talked and laughed and were just our silly stupid selves. after canceling some other plans i had last night we brought cafe rio home and ate while we watched desperate housewives, i didn't know i was pregnant and the bad girls club. quality evening. she is my heart.

i'm sorry i've sucked so much at blogging lately. here are the contributing factors:

1. i mentioned before that my computer is broken, right? well, i took it to the computer help desk here on campus and the techy boy told me my hard drive is completely gone. not just gone, but entirely unrecoverable. sooo i have to spend $50 of my hard earned money to buy a new one so they can fix it. my fingers are crossed that somewhere in my tornado of a room is hiding a flash drive with all my ecuador pictures and important things.

2. i've finally decided to take school seriously. this week i've gone to all 8 of the classes i've had so far. unfortunately, people, that's good for me. i'm an avid class skipper. but that's gonna stop now, as i really need to get all A's this semester.

3. i have a job. that i love. i seriously am in love with texas roadhouse. the people, the philosophies behind the company, and the money. it's a fantastic place to work and i'm so blessed to finally have a job. even though it does take up  much of my time.

so, long story short, sorry for sucking. i'll try to get better. here are just a few tumblr lovings from this week. also, please notice my new theme. i'm never satisfied when it comes to tumblr themes. but this one is probs gonna stay for awhile. yes, i just said probs. get over it.

i was doing so well there for awhile at having my tumblr thursday posts done on time! but this week, the delay is partly because my computer is broken and partly cause i worked last night. forgive me... for some reason i particularly like this week's tumblr goodness. it might have something to do with yummy ryan gosling being a part of it. enjoy!

ecuador reunions and first day jitters

saturday morning i had my menu test at texas roadhouse. i haven't been that nervous for something in a very long time. but after lots of studying, prayers, and maybe a small miracle, i passed with a 95% and got to continue on to orientation. ryan helped me study and agreed to take me to dinner if i got the job. so we got our behinds to olive garden for some endless pasta bowls, salad, and breadsticks. yummmmm.

the chicaiza family (who i stayed with while i was in ecuador) is in the states right now, so we had a little reunion with them and all the osso people in rexburg. it made my heart so very happy. they are the greatest family and it had been a long 7 months since i'd seen them. it'd also been a long 7 months since i had spoken spanish all day every day so talking to them in spanish was a little harder than i anticipated. but it came right back. say hello to maibe and tanner...

monday was my first night of work at the roadhouse. it was overwhelming/exciting/stressful/fun and left me eager for day 2. i may or may not have slipped and fallen in the kitchen carrying two salad plates. it was beyond embarrassing. however last night went much smoother and i didn't fall a single time. tonight i'm training again and am going to have to start taking tables all by myself! i'm so nervous. so so nervous. but i love that our uniform is a tshirt and jeans. i love my job.

did you know that it's scientific fact that most people gain weight in the winter? after all i've eaten the last two days, i'm not even surprised. yesterday at 530, after kelsey and i were finally done for the day (complete with 4 classes and a test for each of us), we decided to celebrate with a $5.99 craigo's buffet. then today we woke up to snow. kelsey decided to skip class, and i didn't have class, so we picked betsy up and proceeded to nom nom on some breakfast at jb's. talk about the ultimate fat day. now we're enjoying our food babies and preparing to snuggle up on our sectional couch and watch movies for the remainder of the day.

i hate snow.
i hate cold.
i hate that today is icky.

but i like that it means a movie day.
and hoodies.
and hot chocolate.
and comfy socks.

so it's okay...

i love thursdays. number one because i don't have class. and number two it means tomorrow is the weekend. and i love this particular thursday because i have a date tonight. and i like that a lot. also my new phone finally came and i really love that too. so much that i could've kissed the ups guy. like, i'm in love with it. is that normal? i doubt it. enjoy tumblr thursday!
